See genuine fossils and detailed replicas up close, including specimens from a private collection that are not normally on public display. Explore how fossils form, what they reveal and how we piece together the stories of prehistoric animals.
Connect prehistoric wildlife with places closer to home. British fossils are at the heart of our workshops, alongside familiar dinosaur favourites from elsewhere in the world. Pupils are encouraged to look closely, ask questions and share their ideas.
Each workshop session lasts approximately one hour and accommodates up to 30 pupils. We agree the timetable with your school before the visit.

Both options include all workshop equipment and casting materials, plus one small take-home fossil replica per participating child.
We visit schools across Somerset from our base in Cheddar.
Travel is charged at 45p per mile for the return road journey. Your school’s postcode allows us to calculate this, and the full cost is included in your quote before you confirm a booking.
Tell us your year groups, pupil numbers and any relevant classroom topics when enquiring. We can discuss how the workshop can support what your pupils are learning and plan the sessions around your school day.
For practical information about room requirements, additional needs, staff supervision and the casting activity, please visit our FAQs page.
Send us your school’s name, postcode, preferred dates and whether you are interested in a half-day or full-day visit.
We will check availability, discuss your requirements and provide a full quote. Bookings are confirmed in writing once the date, arrangements and price have been agreed. Payment is by invoice and bank transfer.
